I was primarily an endurance athlete (running, swimming & rowing) in High School and College. I learned a love for coaching while starting and coaching 2 collegiate orienteering teams and a sailing team.
A badly broken leg and an overly busy lifestyle set me on a path of illness, and by 2009, I was in the worst shape of my life. Working out on my own was not producing results. Fortunately, a friend introduced me to CrossFit. Soon, I started getting faster, leaner and stronger, and I loved the supportive community. I earned my initial Level 1 training later that year.
Before long, I was 40 fat-pounds leaner, and stronger than I had ever been. I coach to share that same life-changing opportunity with others. Work has taken me all over the world, and I have been to many CrossFit affiliates (boxes). I am proud to make Agate Pass CrossFit my box home.
