CrossFit Foundations

CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program. We have designed our program to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible. CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains. They are Cardiovascular and Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.

Community

When most people think of a gym, they think about a place where you go, work out on your own, or maybe talk with someone on the treadmill next to you. APCF boasts a gym full of sweating, smiling, high-fiving athletes that cheer each other on every day, from start to finish. It’s not uncommon to see people finish a work out, then go back to do more reps with someone else while they finish theirs. At Agate Pass CrossFit, community is everything.
We have an incredibly diverse group of athletes, so you won’t feel like you don’t fit in, because EVERYONE fits in!

The community is an integral part of helping you reach your goals. We work hard together, we push each other, we celebrate each other’s victories, and we lift each other up when needed.

Goal Focused

How many times have you set a New Year’s resolution, and not kept it? Maybe you set a weight loss goal that you never met. At Agate Pass CrossFit we are very focused on helping you reach your goals, by setting smaller, attainable goals that will lead you down the pathway to success, and surrounding you with a community of athletes to hold you accountable.

Our athletes vary in their fitness and health focus, so we have coaches that specialize in different areas to help you get where you want to be. Mobility, strength, cardiovascular endurance, muscle endurance, flexibility, they all fall within the 10 principles of CrossFit that guide our programming. Our coaches have the training and experience to find your weaknesses, and help you improve, as well as making sure you are always improving on your strengths. Most of our members don’t realize how strong or capable they are until they are guided along the way to try new things. You may have never performed a specific movement, or never lifted a certain weight, but at Agate Pass we believe that with goal-focused athletes and coaches, “never” should be re-termed “not yet”!

Safety

Guiding our members in reaching their health and fitness goals also includes injury prevention. At Agate Pass, safety is paramount. We encourage our athletes to focus on form, and to know the importance of maintaining proper form before increasing weight. We want to guide you in building your functional fitness, creating the building blocks of form, mobility, and strength that will guide you in doing both CrossFit and every day activities safely.

Our coaches can help provide you with personalized programs, when needed, to ensure you are still able to participate as you are rehabilitating after injury.
