I have been active in sports all of my life. I played all types of sports in my younger years but as I grew older I found my true love with baseball. I was able to play at the highest levels in baseball at Bainbridge Island High School where we played for the State Championship at Safeco field. I also played for Santa Barbara CC where we set team winning records and reaching California regionals. On a personal level, I achieved all metro conference and all state teams and again all conference team in college.

After College I moved to Huntington Beach where my real journey in Crossfit began. A block away from my apartment was a Crossfit gym named Crossfit Redemption. I had seen Crossfit on ESPN that summer and was very interested. I walked in and introduced myself and a day later I started working out. It was some of the most intense and hard work I had ever done in my life and I LOVED IT! I wasn’t very strong or in shape but I knew I had found my passion.

I earned my Crossfit training certification with one of the top Crossfit games athelete, Camille Leblanc-Bazinet, as my instructor. I also was blessed to intern under two amazing coach’s. Coach Gabe Baltadano who made it to the Crossfit games in 2007 and Greg Sand who was a USA strength and conditioning coach for the Olympic Skeleton and Bobsled team. The information I obtained from those two could not be taught out of a book or on a video.

I opened Agate Pass Crossfit Monday August 19th, 2013. The gym has grown to be an amazing community of people who enjoy what they do everyday. I take pride in helping people accomplish their goals and make sure each and every athlete is achieving the best experience on there journey to better fitness. If you have not come to Agate Pass CF, I encourage you to give us a call. Come try your free session and begin your journey to better fitness and health through Crossfit at Agate Pass.

I was primarily an endurance athlete (running, swimming & rowing) in High School and College.  I learned a love for coaching while starting and coaching 2 collegiate orienteering teams and a sailing team.

A badly broken leg and an overly busy lifestyle set me on a path of illness, and by 2009, I was in the worst shape of my life.  Working out on my own was not producing results.  Fortunately, a friend introduced me to CrossFit.  Soon, I started getting faster, leaner and stronger, and I loved the supportive community.  I earned my initial Level 1 training later that year.

Before long, I was 40 fat-pounds leaner, and stronger than I had ever been.  I coach to share that same life-changing opportunity with others.  Work has taken me all over the world, and I have been to many CrossFit affiliates (boxes).  I am proud to make Agate Pass CrossFit my box home.

Check us out, learn some new skills, and achieve goals that you may have never thought possible.

I grew up playing completive sports, dance, and cheerleading. After having a child, I found myself losing my ambition for health and fitness. I tried lots of fad diets and went to an athletic club. I had no idea how the machines worked, let alone set up good rep schemes. I found myself unsatisfied with my workouts and the lack of results.

Almost three years ago I took some advice from my older brother, who had been CrossFitting for eight years and decided to join Agate Pass CrossFit. Since then my entire life has changed. I wanted to absorb all the knowledge I could and help others achieve their own goals, utilizing my Level One Trainer Certification. Since I started my CrossFit Journey I have: completed a Spartan Super that was 11 miles with 25+ Obstacles, run 5 & 10k’s, competed in several CrossFit competitions, and become a Momentum Certified Jump Rope coach. Agate Pass can be an escape from the stresses of life for an hour (or maybe more ) of your day and be your happy place away from home. Come join in on the fun and let us show you the road to a happy, healthy, fitter you. Strength is beauty!

I discovered Crossfitin the spring of 2013, shortly after moving back to the PNW from Jackson,Wyoming where I spent 20 years living the “ski bum, mountain town lifestyle”. Is pent all of my free time in the mountains- climbing, trail running, hiking, snowshoeing, xc and downhill skiing. I am an endurance sport junkie and I find that CrossFit gives me the skill, strength and stamina to accomplish the variety of sports I enjoy. I love that no day at the gym is ever the same!

When I am not at Agate Pass CrossFit you can find me running, exploring our great outdoors and spending time with my daughter, Avery and her horse, Wyatt.

I grew up in upstate New York, but eventually made my way to the “best coast” (aka West coast) for school. For my day job I serve as a doctor and a diver in the U.S. Navy specializing in undersea medicine. I am a lover of anything that takes me on an adventure and I would prefer to spend most of my time outside.
My fitness journey started as a competitive gymnast, continuing through college. After graduating I was lost as to how I was going to maintain my strength and overall fitness without flips and tricks. Luckily, I stumbled upon CrossFit in 2010 and have been hooked ever since! I have been coaching gymnastics for the past 15 years, and have a passion for teaching gymnastics skills to the CrossFit community. I love sharing my knowledge and helping others on their fitness journey so just ask and I am happy to teach you as much as I can!
